DESCRIPTION:Go Native: The Entertaining Plants  \n \nSip\, snack\, and swap ideas at the Joueurs de Jardin’s first of the year event\, where native plants take center stage both inside and outside the home.  Learn how choosing natives adds beauty and flavor (with plants that do more work than you do!) while supporting local ecosystems and a more eco-friendly garden. \n \nOur speaker\,  Tanya Mennear\, will share how she does this in her home and garden. Tanya\, born in England\, has lived in New Orleans for twenty years  – and worked and gardened in temperate\, Mediterranean and tropical zones. She has trained as a Master Gardener\, propagated native plants at the Botanic Gardens and served on the Board of the Native Plant Initiative of Greater New Orleans. She is a florist and a happy cook who loves to combine her passions by growing a native cutting garden.  \n \n \nPlease join us on January 28\, 2026 at 6 pm at Julia Lennox’s at 1313 8th Street.
