On Monday, November 21, 2016 a resident in the 2900 block of St. Charles reported a home burglary to the NOPD. The resident stated that he had left the apartment secured several hours earlier and found the front door broken and the apartment ransacked and burglarized when he returned. A neighbor in the same building reportedly heard lots of knocking and upon investigation observed a light skinned black male in his late 20’s, thin build, wearing and unknown color ball cap, black hoodie, jeans and a black and red backpack in the hallway. He was leaving the apartment and made some remark. The neighbors stated that she had never seen the subject in the building before. The GDSD patrol was not called in this incident.
