Garden District Security District

The Garden District Association is the sponsoring organization for the Garden District Security District (GDSD), a separate and distinct organization that manages the 24-hour daily enhanced patrols for the neighborhood. Currently, 3 officers are on duty at all times, around the clock. In addition, special NOPD detail officers patrol each evening. These officers are easily accessible for all residents, businesses and their guests.

The GDSD is funded by a special district wide property millage that is billed to all homeowners by the city and included in the annual property tax bills sent each December. All residents and businesses within the district are eligible to use this service.
