New Condo Building Approved for 2400 Block of St. Charles

Yesterday, the City Planning Commission approved the request for a new 10-unit condominium building to be constructed in the 2400 block of St. Charles Avenue. Two ranch style homes are slated for demolition to allow for this new building. The Garden District Association, led by it president Andre Gaudin,  opposed the 17-foot height waiver requested and many neighbors opposed the construction based on its height, massing and close proximity to the adjacent  building. To read more about the hearing, please see the article in the Uptown Messenger via this link. The measure will go to the City Council for approval or denial.
