Suspect Wanted for Armed Robbery on First Street

The NOPD is searching Mequil “Tyger” Howard (D.O.B. 8-31-1999) after he reportedly robbed a victim at gunpoint on First Street.

The incident happened on December 17, 2016. At approximately 11:50 a.m. the victim told police she was seated in her vehicle when Howard approached her vehicle while pointing a gun to the victim’s head. The victim told police Howard then demanded the victim’s vehicle. Howard was then seen entering the vehicle and driving westbound on Baronne Street.

During the course of the investigation, officers found Howard to be the suspect in several other armed robbery incidents in the Sixth and Seventh district. Howard is considered armed and dangerous.
