NOPD reports that a carjacking occurred last night Feb 6 around 7:45 p.m. near Chestnut and Delachaise, near Touro Hospital. According to the report three gunmen were involved and assault rifles were used. One victim was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital and was considered in stable condition. The gunmen fled in a second victim’s black 2016 Hyundai Elantra.

Police are following all leads on the case. The Uptown Messenger offers a few more details. There is no more information to report at this time.
