HEADS UP: The start time for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 11 has been pushed up to 12:30 due to the rain threat. It will begin at Jefferson And Magazine and travel up to Jackson before it begins to disburse.

Jackson Ave. Resurfacing Project between S. Claiborne Ave. to Tchoupitoulas
UPDATE: 3/10/17

The Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC is approximately 80% complete with the Jackson Ave. Resurfacing Project between S. Claiborne Ave. to Tchoupitoulas St. All work on Jackson Ave. between S. Claiborne Ave. and St. Charles Ave. is completed.

On Jackson Ave. between St. Charles Ave. and Tchoupitoulas St, crews have completed the majority of sidewalk repairs. This week crews will finish asphalt work on Jackson Ave. along the Irish Channel St. Patrick’s Day Parade route. By the end of next week, March 17th, crews will have completed placing asphalt between St. Charles Ave. and Tchoupitoulas St. Crews will begin striping the roadway once all asphalt work is completed.

The overall project is expected to be complete by the beginning of April 2017. For more information on the Jackson Ave. Resurfacing Project between S.
